So I’ve already dropped the ball on wanting to blog more but on this snowy day, I thought it was the perfect time to play catch up!
I have a dear friend who had me take her family pictures this past Fall. Personally, I think close friends are so hard to shoot because I want every shot to be perfect and that doesn’t always happen. And to add to my self-induced pressure, the day of the shoot was their 6 year old’s birthday and the day they had closed on their new house. So, I wanted to make sure they had an especially fun time. Lucky for me, this family has so much love amongst the four of them that they completely put me at ease.
Months have passed since they moved in and recently our family went over for dinner. Upon entering their home, she took me directly to this spot for me to see her showcase of the family photos that I took. I was speechless and that doesn’t happen often. I, honestly, couldn’t have imagined a better compliment. The Fall is such a crazy time for photographers and it’s hard to get past the Christmas card orders and finished prints. I almost never imagine what the pictures look like in someone’s home. Thank you, Kat, for trusting me with your family and with these precious memories. I love you guys!
